Drawing Circles With a Compass Worksheets Pdf

What is a Polygon?

A polygon is a two-dimensional closed effigy made upwards of merely straight line segments. It is a geometric figure with 3 or more sides. Triangles (3 sides), Quadrilaterals (four Sides), Pentagons (5 Sides), Hexagons (half dozen sides), Heptagons (7 Sides), Octagons (eight sides), Decagons (ten sides), etc. are all examples of polygons. A polygon having all its sides equal is called regular polygons. If all sides are not equal, information technology is called irregular polygons. Refer to Fig. 1.

What is a Circle?

A circle is a closed figure fabricated with curved lines such that all points of the curve are at a fixed altitude from a point. This fixed indicate is called the center of the circle. Refer to Fig. 2. Recollect the following points with respect to a circle.

  • The radius of a circle is a line segment that joins the center of the circle to whatever point on the circle. At that place are many radii of equal length in any circumvolve.
  • The bore of whatsoever circle is twice the length of the radius.
  • A line joining any two points on the circle is called a chord. The largest chord passes through the center of the circle and chosen the bore of the circle.

Well, I am a Science Graduate, currently a housewife and female parent of 2. While helping my kids with their studies I detect that schools are providing very few worksheets for exercise at domicile which is non sufficient for the kids to think beyond the boundary. For better development and depth on each subject area students should practice more than and more worksheets or question papers. I am sure other parents as well experienced the same problem. So through this website, I plan to provide various worksheets on unlike subjects to aid interested kids, parents, and teachers.
